Autumn Golf Day at Moor Allerton

There are few things better than a crisp autumn day on the course, and our golf day at Moor Allerton Golf Club proved to be the perfect example. With the sun shining brightly through golden leaves and a gentle breeze carrying the unmistakable feel of the season, players enjoyed a wonderful day of competition, camaraderie, and celebration at one of Yorkshire’s finest golfing venues.

A Brief History of Moor Allerton Golf Club

Founded in 1923, Moor Allerton has grown into one of the most respected clubs in the region. Its move to the current site in the late 1960s brought with it a design by the legendary American golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Sr. – his very first in the UK. True to his vision, the course at Moor Allerton blends natural beauty with technical challenge, featuring rolling fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and water hazards that demand precision and strategy. Today, the club continues to welcome golfers of all levels, offering a setting that combines tradition with world-class facilities.

The autumn sunshine lit up the course and created the perfect backdrop for our event. The competition was fierce but friendly, with players rising to the occasion and showing skill, focus, and flair across all formats. From long drives to pinpoint approaches and pressure putts, the day highlighted everything that makes golf both challenging and rewarding.
