Fulford Singles 2025
Fulford Golf Club, steeped in history and renowned for hosting European Tour championship golf for over 20 years, set the stage for a truly memorable day. Many visitors marvelled at the legendary exploits of Bernhard Langer, while the famous ash tree by the 17th green drew admiring glances and disbelief from all who played it.
The weather provided its own drama. Morning players battled through heavy rain, but the skies cleared for the afternoon rounds—only to be interrupted by a fierce thunder and lightning storm. Thankfully, play resumed once the storm passed, ensuring everyone could complete their rounds.
One of the standout moments came on the 18th hole, where Stuart Taylor pulled off a remarkable Albatross 2 from 220 yards. Yes, that’s right—an Albatross, earning him six points!
Tournament scoring was hotly contested, with a late surge of impressive rounds. In fact, today’s winning score of 45 points surpassed the pairs event winning scores at Hallamshire just the day before.
