Isle Of Purbeck - Wednesday 19th October
A singles event at Isle of Purbeck today, where you could access the course from the road or a small ferry crossing from sandbanks.
When you play at the Isle of Purbeck, you'll enjoy a wonderfully traditional course set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The first thing that strikes visitors is the spectacular views, looking out over Brownsea Island, Bournemouth and the Solent. Indeed, the fifth tee possesses
one of the finest views in British golf. It was a blustery but dry day with a downwind longest drive hole on 14 with some players letting
the ball fly miles in the wind.
The longest drive for the men was David Scott and the lady's winner was Amanda green.
Today's best-dressed golfer was a tricky one with not many stand-out outfits, some late-season winter doom and gloom maybe. The winner does however go to David Thomas.
It’s the par 3 final days winners free day out tomorrow and Friday at the Oxfordshire! Well done to all the winners and good luck in our last 2 events of the season. What a year it’s been!
