Golf Pairs charity event
Friday 14th October saw us return to the beautiful Aspley Guise and Woburn Sands Golf club for a day of fun, drinks and more importantly awareness of the charities that we have been
supporting this year- Maggie's Cancer charity and the Variety Club.
The challenging, tight layout of the course was a tough challenge for all, especially when the sunshine stopped for an hour's rain making conditions even harder!
Shot of the day can only go to one man - John “Smithy” Smith who somehow managed on the par 3 155 yard 10th send his driver left high over the trees for it only to curve back and land 3 foot from the flag winning him nearest the pin.
Scott Wood was also out on the 10th doing beat the pro where some lucky winners managed to win entry into next years pairs event at Aspley Guise and Woburn Sands.
After the conclusion of the golf we headed back in for dinner and a fantastic charity auction
hosted by the hilarious Aaron James who was taking no prisoners!
We raised some fantastic money for Maggies and Variety club so i would like to thank everyone for attending - especially the days winners Les Garey and Bryan Daniels and 3rd placed Paul Beatty and Andy Bean who also auctioned off their prizes to raise even more money for these great causes.
