Caversham Singles - Wednesday 13th October

An interesting day today at Caversham Golf Club!
Unfortunately, we had a fog delay for over an hour to start the day! However, with help from an excellent team at Caversham, we managed to get everyone out on the course which turnout to be a glorious day for mid-October.
The Eyston Course is a fantastic championship course measuring between 5,536 to 7,319 yards. Located just outside Reading, built to USGA standards and is in great condition year-round due to excellent drainage.
The clubhouse is undergoing a huge refurb so next year we will be greeted with a 40ft balcony and brand new facilities.
Bev Coates won the nearest the pin on the 11th hole ( the players 2nd today ) great shot Bev. The nearest pin on 8 (player 17 ) was won by Tim George! Pretty much the first tee shot of the day on the hole and it couldn’t be beaten. A tap in 2 as well.
Tim George also won the best-dressed golfer with a lovely pink combo. So a great day all around for Tim.
We move on next week to a singles day followed by our par 3 finals days at Oxfordshire!!
