Hunstanton - Tuesday 31st May
Today we were at Hunstanton Golf Club,
Rated as one of Britain & Ireland's 'Top 100' courses, golfers have walked the rolling fairways nestling in a stunning landscape of dunes and links grasses for 125 years. Overlooking The Wash, Hunstanton is the only golf course on the east coast of England where the sun sets over the sea, providing striking views in both summer and winter.
“It’s a classic links course. A true championship test of golf.”
Bernard Gallacher
The course has undergone extensive redevelopment over the past five years under the guidance of Martin Hawtree, including new bunkering of all four par 5s and reshaping of the 8th and 10th holes. The current phase of development has now been completed with the redesign of the 1st and 18th holes.
The course is open and playable almost every day of the year thanks to its excellent draining system and first-class greens staff.
Golfers loved every second on these true links fairways. The weather was cloudy but the rain held off! Although the wind picked up throughout the day.
And to TOP it off…the clubhouse penthouse bar was the highlight of the day serving
