Saffron Walden - Monday 30th May

On the 30th may we was at the lovely Saffron Walden! Set in the picturesque surroundings of Audley End's famous mansion, the Club also boasts superb views over the historic market town of Saffron Walden.

The course is one for the thinksers, designed to be strategic off the tee and thinka bout when to hit driver, holes 7 and 11 have pot bunkers that are notorious for wrecking scorecards so it was good to see them avoided today!

We had the Hole in one challenge on the signature 5th hole, with the Audley End mansion in the background. 

We had a brief spell of rain but that was short lived, the majority of the day was as dry with a bit of wind.
