Celtic Manor Roman Road 2025

Roman Road Course, Celtic Manor Resort – 18th September 2025

The Roman Road Course at Celtic Manor Resort, designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr, opened in 1995 as the Resort’s first course. This par-70 layout offers golfers stunning vistas over the Severn Estuary while testing every aspect of their game with long fairways, tree-lined holes, and tricky water hazards.

Despite lots of rain, spirits were high and smiles were plentiful across the course. The challenging conditions didn’t stop some players from producing spectacular shots, including a truly remarkable moment from Simon Magaw, who aced the 16th hole with a 7-iron – one bounce and straight in!

Even under wet conditions, the Roman Road Course provided a memorable day of golf, friendly competition, and incredible highlights for all who played.
