A Bright and Breezy Golf Day at Pyrford Lakes

There are few better places to spend a sunny day than Pyrford Lakes Golf Club, and our latest golf day proved just that. With blue skies, a gentle breeze, and the scenic beauty of the course, players enjoyed a fantastic round of golf in the heart of Surrey.

A Little History

Pyrford Lakes Golf Club is a jewel in the Surrey countryside, designed by the world-renowned pair Peter Alliss and Clive Clark. The course has earned a reputation for its clever design, immaculate greens, and stunning lakeside views. Since opening in the early 1990s, Pyrford has been challenging golfers of all levels with its unique blend of strategy and scenery.

The Challenge of Water

What makes Pyrford Lakes particularly memorable is its abundance of water features. No fewer than 23 of the 27 holes on the estate have water in play, making accuracy and course management as important as distance. The sparkling lakes not only add beauty but also provide a thrilling test for golfers who dare to take them on.

The Day’s Highlights

The breezy conditions kept everyone honest, with well-struck shots rewarded and any lapse in concentration often punished by the ever-present water. Despite the challenge, spirits were high throughout the day, with plenty of camaraderie and laughter echoing across the fairways.
