Worsley Park - 12th August 2024

On the hottest day of the year a large field of golfers cranked up the heat to challenge for top honours at Worsley Park.

With perfect playing conditions, the scores were inevitably low and some players even recorded personal-best rounds out in the sun.

Tony Williams and Stan Byrne topped the leaderboard with a stunning round of 48 points, beating  Carl Smith and Scott Smith on the countback.

Well done to Peter Mather and Alistair Upton for shooting the lowest gross score of the day; an impressive score of minus-two. They held off Mark Hughes and Paul Fell to win on the countback.

The nearest to the pin competition was won by Andrew Foy.
Liam Blacka boomed a tee shot 325 yards down the 18th hole to win the lowest drive and 19 out of 146 players shared the twos pot.

The Par 3 Stableford challenge was won by Adrian Robinson and Greg Cook with 15 points.
A massive congratulations to all the players who featured.
