Wick - Tuesday 23rd August

In September 1870 Wick Golf Club was formally established to organise competitions, set and administer rules and handicaps for its members.

The committee arranged to play regular competitions on a 6 hole course set out in Wick’s Society Park, now known as the Bignold Park and provided a practise area at the South Head overlooking Wick Bay.

Wick golf course is nestled in the sand dunes of Reiss Beach a short drive from the market town of Wick.

Wick are close to the north eastern corner of the north coast 500 and adjacent to Reiss beach. They also have a great relationship with a number of local business and other clubs that we highly encourage you to consider.

Vast numbers of visitors would undoubtedly lead to larger incomes for the club and perhaps the temptation of "upgrading" the course for today’s modern game.

Playing on one of the finest links golf courses in Scotland is a must for your golfing calendar.

The club has remained true to the links heritage and as such can now offer one of the few remaining pristine links lands in Scotland and the home of golf.

The opening hole provides a breath taking challenge with the green nestling far below you and tucked into the corner and a burn to cross.

Massive well done to Hannah McLean, who bettered her previous best gross 92 score ever with an 84!!     “Round of applause!”
