Reay - Monday 22nd August

Today we were on THE NC500 MGPT TOUR 2022.
Fifth Stop:
REAY GOLF CLUB
SCOTLAND
The course at Reay Golf Club has often been described as a hidden gem and lavished with praise from some of the world’s premier golfing authorities. However, its situation as the most northerly 18 hole golf club on mainland Britain means that the course is not inundated by golfers and is rarely included in the tours of golf courses undertaken by the thousands of visitors to Scotland each year.
This has allowed the course to retain many traditional characteristics with minimal modifications. Vast numbers of visitors would undoubtedly lead to larger incomes for the club and perhaps the temptation of upgrading the course for today’s modern game.
Playing on one of the finest links golf courses in Scotland is a must for your golfing calendar.
The club has remained true to the links heritage and as such can now offer one of the few remaining pristine links lands in Scotland and the home of golf.
The opening hole provides a breath taking challenge with the green nestling far below you and tucked into the corner and a burn to cross.
If your idea of finding a links golf course involves an adventure, remoteness, turquoise ocean & sandy beaches then REAY GC could well be the golf experience you have been looking for.
Recently voted in 2020 by Golf Magazine USA – in its first ever World’s Top 50 / 9 Hole Courses (12th) and in Golf World UK’s Top 100 Courses 2021 in GB and Ireland (65th) – your
unforgettable golf journey can now begin.
Founded in 1893, Reay Golf Club has seen many changes over the years and remains to this day a true links course run by the community, for the community. We are especially pleased to begin this momentous year as the proud owners of the land on which our historic course is positioned.
Reay Golf Club is a prime example of how a combination of proactive management and minimal input can lead to a landscape that is visually attractive, a tough test for golf and, significantly, a diverse habitat for a variety of wildlife. We have remained true to the links heritage and as such can now offer one of the few remaining pristine links lands in Scotland.
