Tadmarton Heath - 8th May 2024
Tadmarton Heath Golf Club hosted our singles event that showcased the beauty of its well-designed course andoutstanding rural views. With sunshine blessing the day, 160 golfers took on the challenge of this stunning Heathlandcourse. The small greens, proved to be both tricky and slick, adding an extra layer of challenge to the round. As the players enjoyed the perfect weather, they also showcased their impressive golfing skills.
It is one of the few remaining true heathlands in the county, it enjoys naturally free-draining sandy soil. At 650 feet above sea level, it's hard-running, un-watered fairways in summer, coupled with its small greens and abundance of gorse, make it a challenging course even for scratch golfers. Cecil K Hutchison, who helped design the King’s course at Gleneagles, was employed as the architect and Tadmarton was officially opened in October 1922.
