A favourite of my own. You cannot get bored playing this course with its lovely clubhouse and veranda, course conditions and of course the views from the 5^th along the Norfolk coast just mean you have to stop for a photo shoot. The players were very lucky today from mid -morning as the light showers departed and though a slight chill the weather held up and even the wind was kind and the 19th veranda was even in use later on. The steam train adds even more pleasure to this course as it runs very close to the last few holes, again cameras out! One of the most famous features of the Championship course is the 4th hole, aptly named "Cresta Run." This par-3 hole challenges golfers with a daunting tee shot over a deep valley to a green perched atop a ridge. The history of the Championship course is rich and storied. Originally designed by the famous golf course architect Tom Dunn, the course underwent significant changes over time to enhance its layout and challenges. It's worth noting that other notable architects, such as J.H. Taylor and James Braid, have also left their mark on the course's design.
