Seaton Carew 2025

Seaton Carew Golf Club Tournament Recap: A Day of Golfing Excellence and Beautiful Views

What an incredible day we had at Seaton Carew Golf Club! Despite the much-needed rain earlier in the week, the course was in fantastic condition, providing the perfect challenge for our golfers. This stunning course is set to be the host of the final stages of the English Amateur Championship, which will take place in Hartlepool, making it an even more special venue for our event.

Course Highlights:

Seaton Carew Golf Club continues to impress with its impeccable design and excellent maintenance. The course, which will soon host the final stages of the prestigious English Amateur Championship, is renowned for its challenging layout and beautiful surroundings. The two qualifying rounds will be held at both Seaton Carew and Hartlepool Golf Clubs, before the finals take place at Seaton Carew itself – a fantastic honor for this iconic venue.

Weather Conditions:

The weather presented a bit of a mixed bag. We started the day with cool and fresh conditions, and golfers were bundled up in layers to stay warm. However, as the day progressed, the sun broke through, making for a lovely sunny afternoon. The NE wind, however, kept the temperatures on the cooler side, ensuring that even in the sunshine, golfers stayed on their toes.

Memorable Golfers and Moments:

For many, this was their first time playing at Seaton Carew, but they had heard great things about the course, and they weren’t disappointed. With 190+ golfers participating, the energy on the course was fantastic, and it was clear that everyone was having a great time. The combination of challenging holes, beautiful views, and great weather made for a memorable day of golf. The buzz and excitement around this event were palpable, and we look forward to seeing more of you at Seaton Carew in the future!

Tournament Highlights:

  • Nearest the Pin (6th Hole): Anthony Martin – A pinpoint accurate shot that earned him the Nearest the Pinprize on the tricky 6th hole.

  • Longest Drive (2nd Hole – Men’s): Matt Edwards – A brilliant drive on the par-4 2nd hole, earning him the Men’s Longest Drive prize.

  • Longest Drive (2nd Hole – Ladies): N/A – No winner in the ladies category for the longest drive this time around.

Event Summary:

Seaton Carew Golf Club once again proved why it’s a staple in the golfing community, offering a course in top condition and providing an unforgettable experience for all the participants. With its important role in the English Amateur Championship and the fantastic tournament we hosted, this course continues to shine as a must-visit for golfers.
