Royal Dornoch 2 Day - 6th/7th October
Golf at Dornoch can be traced back as far as 1616 but the club was formed in 1877 as a 9-hole course until Old Tom Morris traveled north to extend the layout to 18 holes in 1886. Today Royal Dornoch boasts 2 fabulous 18 hole courses and this was the latest stop for the GolfPairs Tour. Our 112 golfers following in the footsteps of prime ministers, presidents, stars of stage, screen and sport in making the pilgrimage to this golfing mecca.
Day 1 - Struie Course
Benign conditions greeted our golfers on Sunday as they took on the challenge of the Struie Course. The ‘Low Course’ as it is referred to by the locals is fast emerging from the shadow of its more celebrated sister and is ranked among the top 50 links courses in Scotland. With tighter fairways and smaller greens than the championship course the Struie proved a challenging but enjoyable round for our players.
