Ross On Wye - 17th June 2024
A favourite on the fixture list, Ross on Wye provided an exceptional experience for our 204 golfers today. Bathed in the sunshine we've all been longing for, the course looked immaculate. The fairways were lush, and the greens were pure, rolling around 10 on the stimp meter.
Two's Competition Highlights
With only three par threes on the course, the two’s competition was as thrilling as ever. Only nine twos were recorded today, resulting in a fantastic £58 return per two for those who entered. Enjoy spending your event credit! A special shoutout goes to Scott Coster for his incredible hole-in-one on the 128-yard par-3 12th hole. Congratulations, Scott! Competition Results
Only 2 points separated 8th place from 2nd place, necessitating a lot of countbacks to determine our winners. With such a large field, prizes were awarded to the top 6 handicap pairs and top 3 gross pairs.
- Handicap Group Winners: Scott Coster & James Pocock with a sublime 47 points.
- Gross Pair Winners: Gareth Fairburn & Simon Nicholas, shooting a fantastic 1 under gross.
Spot Prize Winners
- Nearest the Pin (7th hole): Anthony Griffiths, with a stunning shot to 2 feet.
- Longest Drive Winners: Chris Lee and Mel Walker, each walking away with a £50 voucher.
