Remedy Oak - 28th May 2024

Remedy Oak is set amongst 256 acres of ancient woodland in Horton, Dorset. Meandering through a backdrop of hardwood trees, mature conifers, rhododendrons, heather, wild grasses and with water coming into play on eight holes, the course abounds with the natural beauty of its surroundings.

Our stunning 18 hole, par 72 golf course was designed by the renowned John Jacobs and his team and they have crafted a masterpiece. The course measures 7,010 yards from the back tees. However, with a selection of four tees, golfers of all abilities find the course enjoyable and a fair challenge.

Constructed in 2006 and already rated in the top 3 golf courses in the South of England, Remedy Oak provides one of the most private, peaceful and personal golf experiences on the South Coast.

Remedy Oak’s practice facilities are ideally positioned to warm up or fine tune your game before you play.  The practice range, equipped with turf and Huxley astro turf surfaces, is just a short walk from both the clubhouse and the 1st tee.  Together with a dedicated short game area, including two bunkers, these facilities allow all golfers to hone their short and long games, and bunker skills.

The large practice putting green, built and maintained to the same high specification as the course’s greens, will prepare you for the examination of your putting that awaits.Complimentary golf balls are provided with all practice facilities.

Today’s tournament attracted 179 Golfers, 174 men and 5 ladies. Rain greeted the early players, it did subsequently stop but returned with a vengeance around 14:30. So nobody really had the best playing conditions for what is a spectacular course.

The weather had a bearing on the outfits players were wearing as most had waterproof clothing on, but Mr Andrew Strange arrived at the check in desk dressed very smartly. Congratulations Andrew for making the effort.
