Isle of Purbeck - 19th April 2023

We were at Isle of Purbeck golf Club today, for the start of the Mizuno Golf Pairs 2023 season.

It was a hazy start! But soon cleared💨 with a hell of a wind!! Nevertheless the scenery was breathtaking. Looking over towards the left at the very famous ‘sandbanks’, and towards the white cliffs of Dover on the right. We were spoilt for photographs and views.

The course was an absolute delight but a challenge for golfers who hadn’t had the honour of playing the course before, lots of high tee boxes, and raised greens flooded with bunkers. The club had clearly pumped a lot of money into the course and club within the space of us last playing here in 2022. The improvement is phenomenal!!

Shot of the day has to be Joe Miller. he hit an impressive 9 iron on the 11th par 3 to 10 inches.

Shoutout to John Phillips who won nearest the pin with his insane shot on 9th to 2ft.

Thank You as always to David the course manager for your extremely welcoming efforts throughout the day. for your great organisation on the course, and marshalling alongside our team. We had some exceptionally dressed golfers today, the award goes to Hugo Lewis and Partner ⭐️
