Highland Coast 3 Day - 21st -23rd August 2024

A lovely start to the Highland Coast events with the first day being at Brora GC. An amazing setting with the front 9 holes running alongside Brora Beach. To further add to the golfers of the wind and the rain today we had the wonderful Highland cows and sheep who wander around the course at their own pace.  The club has played a significant role in the development of golf in the Scottish Highlands and has hosted numerous regional and national competitions. Golfers from around the world visit Brora to experience its timeless links golf.

Day 2 

Firstly congratulations to Russ Gibson, hole in one on the 10^th today.

Just up a short way along the coast from Brora is Golspie GC, to get to the clubhouse you drive along parallel to the first fairway and the views await you from there. The wind was fierce today so the golfers had a tough day as they turned with the wind head on, but the course conditions were fantastic and nothing could really hold on the greens. A round of golf at Golspie Golf Club's Championship Course provides an opportunity to immerse oneself in the rich tradition of Scottish links golf. The course's seaside setting, challenging layout, and historical significance create an atmosphere that pays homage to the origins of the sport.

Day 3. 

A short drive further south from Golspie we ended our 3 day Highland Coast at Tain Golf Club, another wonderful links course designed by Tom Morris. The rain had finished by the time we arrived and though there were remains of this along with the high tide overnight, the sun came out...but of course the wind remained with us. A round of golf at Tain Golf Course provides an opportunity to engage with the rich heritage of Scottish links golf. The course's coastal setting, strategic challenges, and historical significance create an atmosphere that pays tribute to the origins of the sport.
