Hallamshire - 3rd September 2024

Golfers gathered early at the picturesque Hallamshire Golf Club for an exciting pairs event that promised competition. The day began with a bit of a breeze, and clouds hung overhead, but by the time the clock struck 1 PM, the sun broke through, setting the stage for some fantastic golf.

The competition was fierce in the Nearest the Pin challenge, but it was Robin Moody who emerged victorious, showcasing precision and finesse to take home the honors. Over at the Longest Drive competition, Louis Cunningham delivered a jaw-dropping performance with a 330-yard monster shot, a feat that left everyone in awe and secured his win. Not to be outdone, Mel Davey showed the men how it’s done by winning the Ladies' Longest Drive with a perfectly placed shot straight down the middle.

The course was buzzing with excitement as players started racking up "2's" throughout the day. With a total of 14 two's recorded, each golfer who managed this feat walked away with £35, adding to the thrill of the day.
As the day progressed, the sun seemed to shine a little brighter on a few pairs, and one pair, in particular, stood out with a remarkable score of 42 points, clinching the overall competition. Their hard work, skill, and teamwork paid off, earning them well-deserved recognition and a place in Hallamshire Golf Club’s history of great performances.

In the end, it was a day to remember at Hallamshire Golf Club. Congratulations to all the winners, and a big thank you to everyone who participated and made the day such a success.
