Cornwall 4 Day - 9th-12th September 2024

Cape Cornwall. As you work your way through the village of St Just and head along the winding roads towards one of the most Westerly points of the English Coast, you know you are in for a treat when the views start to appear. A lovely relaxed clubhouse with lovely food, service and staff welcome you and there are many areas of the clubhouse and terrace where you can enjoy after your round. The course itself many used the word of "quirky" and it works itself around the Cape with some interesting holes and many walls to try and avoid. Set in an undulating landscape on the cliffs of Cape Cornwall and on the doorstep to the National Trust’s heritage sites, there is nowhere like it in England. You can play a round of golf, tie the knot, stay the night or simply enjoy rustic, locally sourced cuisine in front of a spectacular backdrop of ever-changing scenery.

Day 2 

A lovely relaxed feeling as you enter the golf club and the friendly staff and management welcomed us on Tuesday. Course conditions were all excellent and all golfers thoroughly enjoyed the course. The weather conditions were slightly against them so the 19^th was very welcoming on their return. The 3^rd green offers amazing views  over Gunwalloe Church Cove Beach with its rocky cliffs and sandy beach.  Mullion Golf Club is situated on the cliffs of the Lizard Peninsula and is framed by sandy coves and protected reed beds. It is not only the most southerly course in England, but one of the most beautiful courses in the West Country.

Day 3. 

As you drive up to the road you are welcomed by this impressive Clubhouse and practice facilities surrounding it. On entering the Clubhouse you feel completely relaxed with the various areas you can eat and drink in. Our golfers were able to even enjoy the 19^th on the terrace today and look down the 18^th fairway with the sea in the distance. Around the course you are blown away by the endless scenic views and many photo opportunities. St Enodoc is blessed with two great courses. The James Braid designed Championship Church course hosted the English County Finals in 2005 and the English Women’s Amateur Championship in 2014. It was ranked No 74 in the World by Top100GolfCourses.com in 2022.

Day 4

Around the bay from St Enodoc our next stop on the final day was Trevose Golf and Country Club. Offering a Championship Course, 9 Hole Course and a Par 3 Course, it doesnt stop there and the rooms, leisure facilities, tennis and padel courts all are offered here. The Clubhouse sits high up and offers amazing views down onto the course and the rugged Atlantic Coastline and sandy beaches which are exceptional in this area. With dramatic views across the golden sandy shore of Boobys Bay to the rugged coastline of Trevose Head, it’s sheer drama.Founded in 1926, the great Harry Colt designed the Championship course at Trevose, and Sir Guy Campbell made minor revisions just before the Second World War.
