From May 31 to June 2, participants had the privilege of experiencing the stunning weather and equally impressive surroundings while competing on the Montgomerie, Roman Road, and Twenty 10 courses. With exceptional performances, memorable moments, and a sense of camaraderie, this event showcased the true essence of golf at Celtic Manor.
A Remarkable Display of Golfing Excellence: Thomas Key and Carl Perera dominated the competition throughout the event, showcasing their skill and consistency. They comfortably secured victory on Day One with an impressive score of 47 points, followed by another strong performance on Day Three, earning them 45 points. Furthermore, their exceptional overall score of 135 points secured them the top prize and highlighted their exceptional abilities. Rick Benefer and Alan Playford emerged victorious on Day Two, posting an impressive 49 points and adding further excitement to the competition.
Celebrating the Participation of Women: The event was made even more special with the presence of 12 women golfers, who seamlessly integrated into the field and embraced the experience. Noteworthy Moments and Individual Achievements: Muhammed Saleem left a lasting impression with a powerful tee shot that won him the title of longest drive on the Montgomerie course. However, the most exhilarating moment came from Marius Grigore, drawing thunderous applause as he achieved a hole-in-one on the 17th hole of the Twenty 10 course.
