Common FAQs
  • Please email orders@golfpairs.com who are dedicated to match play support.

  • Should this be the case we can write to your home club asking for an exception. You're also welcome to play away or at a neutral venue. Should none of these be an option we can extend the deadline to allow your match to be played.

  • Once Match Play has been purchased, participation is secured. Our Match Play team will then reach out to you via email with a link to login to the Match Play portal. This is where you submit your golfer information, find your opponents, their details and submit results.

  • The Golfbreaks team will be in touch with all qualifying finalists before the 30th September 2021 to confirm attendance and take all necessary personal information relevant to the administration of the finalist experience.

  • Entry requirements when travelling into the USA differ in accordance with each individuals circumstances and therefore it will be the responsibility of the finalist to ensure they have satisfied the documentation criteria specific to them
Most British passport holders can visit the US for up to 90 days under the US Visa Waiver Programme. To travel under the Visa Waiver Programme you must obtain an advance approval for travel by applying online to the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (“ESTA”) at least 72 hours before travel. If you do not apply for an ESTA you will be refused travel.

  • Golfbreaks will book all confirmed members of the finalist experience onto a group booking flying out of and returning to London Heathrow. It is the responsibility of the finalist to arrange and cover the costs of travel logistics in getting to London Heathrow at the advised time.

  • You will be drawn home or away for each round and both teams will be given contact information to arrange the match, although the onus is on the home team to make contact since the home team will be booking the tees. If the home team does not reach out or the deadline is not met, the away team will progress unless evidence of attempted contact is given.

  • Many golf clubs offer courtesy and are happy to do this because their members will mutually benefit when playing away elsewhere, but some clubs will not permit this. If courtesy is not possible then we recommend the visitor fees being split four ways, but if not then the away team will need to pay a visitor fee to the club as per normal golf club policies.

  • All confirmed finalists must ensure that they purchase a policy which covers as a minimum the full costs that could be incurred in the event of you suffering an accident or illness, including repatriation.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover you purchase is adequate for your particular needs. We do not check insurance policies. Please read your policy details carefully and take them with you on the finalists experience. We do not accept any liability for any possible loss that you suffer as a result of your failure to take out an adequate insurance policy.

  • Only the elements detailed in the advertised itinerary will be covered by Golfbreaks within the finalists experience. All other expenses incurred across the duration of the trip (for example, drinks, meals or transportation) are the responsibility of the individual finalist to pay for

  • With both Pairs and singles being part of the finalist group, we understand that finalists from the individual bracket in particular may wish to travel with a guest. We would of course wish to have the finalist experience be a memorable social occasion as well as fun and competitive for all.
Golfbreaks will happily look into requests to bring guests subject to availability and on the understanding that the elements covered in the finalists experience are provided without cost only to the finalists and not their guests. Any associated costs applicable to bringing a guest must be covered prior to travel by the respective finalist.
