We have a small but perfectly formed itinerary for you, to take in the history and class of this World’s Top 100 Mainstay. Sunningdale’s Old Course was designed by twice winner of The Open Championship, Willie Park Junior and opened in 1901.

The land on which it was constructed belonged to St. John’s College, Cambridge and mainly consisted of heather, gorse and pine trees. There were no shops, no railway station, and no Ridgemount Road, merely a bridle path over the property running, as it still does, across the 2nd of the Old and continuing across to the 9th green of the New Course.

TESTIMONIALS

So much improvement in facilities since Mr Trump took over.- what was simply good is now simply marvellous. The staff were absolutely delightful much nicer than at Troon. It was a wonderful experience full stop.

Wow Martin Egbert has designed a fantastic golf course taking Ailsa to a new level especially on the front 9 by the coast bringing the ocean into play I am not a fan of the wet sandy areas look untidy to me but overall you must play. You will not visit a better half way house the old lighthouse converted. It's expensive but must be on the Open rota soon.
