Highlights of the Course:
Nestled amidst the stunning Breckland Forest, Thetford Golf Club provides golfers with a truly picturesque experience. As one of the oldest golf courses in East Anglia, this classic layout was shaped by golf course architects James Braid and Philip Mackenzie Ross. The course begins with a lovely par 3 hole, setting the tone for a round that combines scenic beauty with challenging play. The lush, tree-lined fairways, coupled with tricky bunkers and greens, ensure that this course is as challenging as it is beautiful.

The unique atmosphere of Thetford, with its peaceful woodland surroundings, makes every round a special experience. The course is perfectly complemented by the history and design, making it a must-play for any golf enthusiast.

Weather Conditions:
It was a hot day, the hottest we’ve had so far, with hardly a breeze in sight. The conditions certainly made it a tough day out on the course, and golfers sought shelter under umbrellas for some much-needed shade as they battled the heat. However, the sun did little to deter the competitors, who embraced the challenge and made the most of the fantastic conditions.

Memorable Golfers/Moments:
The day was made even more enjoyable by the stunning array of outfits on display, which certainly brightened the course. It was also a day for impressive shots, with Clayton Latimer making an extraordinary 387-yard drive, wowing the crowd with his strength and accuracy off the tee.

Tournament Highlights:
The competition was fierce, with players pushing themselves to navigate the tough conditions. While the heat made scoring difficult, the camaraderie and fun remained the same, with every group enjoying the beautiful surroundings and challenging holes.
