The Carrick - Friday 10th June
Today we were at The Carrick Golf Club,
Also known as Cameron House, Nine holes on the high road, nine on the low road. The Golfers prepared themselves for an epic journey of stunning greens, majestic highland backdrops brilliantly peppered with bunkers and of course the world’s most beautiful water hazard - the great loch itself.
The two courses couldn't be more different. The Carrick championship 18-hole course meanders its way through an area of outstanding natural beauty, while The Wee Demon threads a delicate path through the estate grounds to The Boat House and Marina on the loch.
The Ladies Scottish Open, the PGA Cup, and the Europro Tour.
All have been held at The Carrick, and it’s easy to see why, From the championship tees, The Carrick is a par 71 and 7,082 yards long.
A test for even the most established player. Thankfully, four more teeing options make this utterly stunning and uniquely situated course enjoyable for every level of golfer.
The players rated this course “Top Class” and would love to see this course again on the list for golf pairs 2023!!!
Best shot was Richard Watson who striped a driver off the 16th to put it down the centre for the win on that hole!!
Well done to Tommy Hetherston who put it to 6ft on the 14th par 3, from 172 yards with a 6 iron!! Very impressive!!
