Southport & Ainsdale - 30th July 2024

What a day at Southport & Ainsdale Golf Club! The weather was perfect, with a dry, sunny day and a calm afternoon breeze providing the ideal conditions for golfing.

Two hundred competitors battled their way around this tough Ryder Cup classic, showcasing their talent and determination on the challenging course.

The competition for nearest the pin was fierce, with participants displaying impressive precision and skill. Three golfers stood out with their exceptional shots:

• James Cross: Demonstrating impeccable accuracy, James secured his win with a shot that landed mere inches from the pin.
• David Prescott: Known for his consistent performance, David's precise shot earned him a well-deserved victory.
• Rob Hunter: Rob's remarkable swing and control over the ball clinched him the nearest-the-pin title on his designated hole.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the main challenge, where golfers competed to accumulate the highest points. The competition was intense, but one player managed to outshine the rest with a staggering 48 points, showcasing an extraordinary level of skill and consistency throughout the game.
