On a beautiful summer’s day, Oswestry Golf Club welcomed golfers from near and far for a memorable day of sport, camaraderie, and celebration. With clear blue skies, gentle breezes, and temperatures that hovered in the mid-20s, the weather couldn’t have been better for a day on this historic course.

A Brief Look Back

Founded in 1931, Oswestry Golf Club is steeped in tradition and framed by the rolling countryside of the Shropshire-Wales border. The course itself was designed by none other than five-time Open Champion James Braid, whose layout mastery is still admired nearly a century later. True to Braid’s legacy, Oswestry offers a course that is both challenging and charming — rewarding strategic play and punishing carelessness.

A Day to Remember

As golfers arrived early in the day, the mood was light and spirits were high. The course was in superb condition thanks to the dedication of the grounds team, and every green was a testament to the club’s attention to detail.

Throughout the day, impressive scores were posted and great shots were met with applause and smiles. Whether it was long drives down the 10th or tight approach shots on the 4th, the day delivered moments to remember.
