Northumberland 3 Day - 23rd-25th July

What a start to day 1 of the Northumberland events. Starting with the amazing Bamburgh Castle and the drive along the coast to reach the clubhouse. The conditions could not have been better for the whole of the day with regards to weather and course conditions. The golfers were in for a treat as they reached the pinnacle of the course to take their pictures of the iconic Bamburgh Castle itself. The 19^th was in full capacity on the return as the golfers were able to use this in the sunshine overlooking the beautiful beach. All golfers thoroughly enjoyed this amazing course and setting.

Day 2 and onto Dunstanburgh GC which is situated on National Trust land. Very popular here for walkers too as the path through the course leads to one of the leading bays on the Northumberland Coast and wonderful views of Dunstanburgh Castle. The wind picked up throughout the morning but the weather was set dry for the day and all golfers complimented the course condition. There was a hole in one as well on the charity hole, shame the competition was not entered on the day but a nice bottle of whisky was left for golfers to enjoy at the bar. Lovely to see everyone enjoying their refreshments on the 19^th at the end of play and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Day 3. The Northumberland - a total contrast to day 2 and 3 and the views of the Parkland Course with the surrounding Newcastle racecourse. A lovely clubhouse for the golfers to relax in prior and after their round and great practice facilities. The course regularly hosts national and regional championships and qualifiers, including the The Open Championship Qualifying Series. Designed by world-renowned golf course architects Harry Shapland Colt and James Braid it offers the very best in British heritage course design.
