Crowborough Beacon 2025
4th September 2025 | Crowborough Beacon Golf Club
Crowborough Beacon Golf Club provided a spectacular backdrop for the Mizuno Golf Pairs Betterball Stableford event. Nestled on the southern slopes of the East Sussex High Weald, the undulating heathland course sits 800ft above sea level, offering breathtaking panoramic views across the South Downs.
The club is steeped in history. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, creator of Sherlock Holmes, moved from Hindhead to become Captain of Crowborough in 1910. Generations of Members of Parliament have also travelled from Westminster to enjoy the invigorating air and challenge of the links, famously dubbed the “Highlands of the South.” Golfers were particularly charmed by the 6th hole, aptly named “The Speaker” after Speaker Gully.
The course tested every skill, from tricky undulations to sweeping vistas, and our players embraced the challenge with style and spirit.
