Calcot park - Wednesday 7th September
Today we arrived at the glorious Calcot Park nestled in the Calcot estate. Our golfers tackled a tough course as well as some heavy rain showers, nonetheless there were some great scores out there and it was a well contested competition. The course was designed by the famous Harry Colt in 1930 who also built Beaconsfield, Denham, Stoke Park, Sunningdale Old, Swinley
Forest along with the East and West courses at Wentworth Club in Surrey.
Calcot is a very sought after and popular private members club, rated in the top 7 of Berkshire golf courses. We were lucky enough today to have a Calcot member named John, starting for our golfers today, he was assisted by his beautiful black Labrador Max, who spent most of the time chilling in the back of John’s car snoozing. He was a favourite amongst the Mizuno Event staff. Thank you John!
Well done to our nearest the pin winners:
Steve Greenwood, Scott Paton, Simon Reeves and Seb Scovell
Our Longest drive winners we Jonathan Davies and Lynn Fitzpatrick
Best dressed award goes to Brian Lawrence and Mark Stevenson, dressed in their matching team outfits and also contrasting matching golf bags….. that’s dedication!!!
We hope you all had a great day, take care and see you all soon.
