Bamburgh Castle,Dunstanburgh Castle,The Northumberland Course & Newbiggin Golf Club
Bamburgh Castle Golf Club is often quoted as one of the most scenic golf courses in Britain and with views of Lindisfarne, the Farne Islands, the Cheviots and of course Bamburgh Castle, the course is one of the truest links experiences to be had in England.

This is a must-play golf course – join us and enjoy unforgettable golfing experiences.+Sitting in the shadow of the 14th century Dunstanburgh Castle, the course wraps around the magnificent Embleton Bay, recently voted the best stretch of coastline in Britain.

Designed by Open Championship winner and renowned course architect James Braid, Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Course offers a true test of links golf. And with the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of our clubhouse, visits to Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Club will live long in the memory.+The course regularly hosts national and regional championships and qualifiers, including the The Open Championship Qualifying Series.

Designed by world-renowned golf course architects Harry Shapland Colt and James Braid it offers the very best in British heritage course design.

Always wonderfully presented with its firm, fast greens and strategic bunkering, we describe the course as a classic challenge requiring tactical play to succeed but enjoyable for players of all standards.+Strategically, the course is full of character, with minimal par-3s up front and only two in the back nine—both elevated and well bunkered. It demands sharp play from tee to green: the par‑5 2nd tests distance control in strong wind; others like the par‑4 8th are guarded by deep bunkers and out-of-bounds . With blind tee shots, pot bunkers, contouring greens, and coastal hazards, it strikes a rare balance between traditional links and moorland drama.
