Westerwood 2025
Battling the Elements: A Wild Golf Day at Westerwood
There’s something character-building about playing golf in Scotland. And on our recent visit to Westerwood Golf Club, it wasn’t just the course that challenged us—it was Mother Nature herself.
With fierce winds howling across the fairways and intermittent bursts of rain lashing down, players were forced to dig deep, adjust their swings, and keep a firm grip—on both clubs and composure. Despite the weather throwing everything it had at us, spirits remained high, competition was fierce, and a cracking day of golf was had by all.
The Battle Begins
From the first tee, it was clear that scoring well today would require more than just good golf—it would require grit, patience, and a lot of waterproofs. The gusts made club selection a lottery, and the occasional sideways rain turned well-read putts into educated guesses.
Still, the players soldiered on, some with more success than others—but everyone with a smile (or at least a grimace) as they braved the elements together.

Final Thoughts
Westerwood tested every aspect of a golfer’s game—and character—but what stood out most was the camaraderie and good humour. Whether hunkering under brollies or laughing through mis-hit shots, everyone embraced the challenge.
Thanks to all who took part, and a special shout-out to MGPT for the fantastic prizes. We look forward to the next event—hopefully with just a touch less wind!
Until next time—keep your head down and your umbrella up!
