Royal Ashdown Old - 24th August
Summer has finally arrived! With suncream out in abundance, golfers braved the heat and the challenging hills of Ashdown Forest, making it a true test of endurance. The course, a classic heathland layout, is nestled amidst the scenic and natural beauty of Ashdown Forest. In addition to the historic Old Course, Royal Ashdown Golf Club offers the West Course, designed by Arthur Croome and opened in 1893. The Old Course, one of the oldest golf courses in England, dates back to 1888 and was originally designed by H.S. Colt, with later modifications by notable architects including Tom Dunn and Major C.K. Hutchison.
The 19th hole was a welcome sight today, and relaxing on the shaded balcony was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
