One of the most famous features of the Championship course is the 4th hole, aptly named "Cresta Run." This par-3 hole challenges golfers with a daunting tee shot over a deep valley to a green perched atop a ridge. The history of the Championship course is rich and storied. Originally designed by the famous golf course architect Tom Dunn, the course underwent significant changes over time to enhance its layout and challenges. It's worth noting that other notable architects, such as J.H. Taylor and James Braid, have also left their mark on the course's design.
