All About the 'World Am'

Anyone can play. Anyone can win. A unique golf tournament experience you cannot get anywhere else. With around 3,200 players competing each year, there is a different feeling when standing on the first tee than you get when playing in your weekly medal.
The World’s largest golf tournament is also the most inclusive. From scratch golfers, to 54 handicaps, to golfers who just want to play for fun! The event features all playing abilities and is one of the biggest women’s tournaments with 400+ participants!
Flighted by Gender, Age and Handicap Handicap ranges within the flights are very small. With 70 flights devoted to Net participants, a flight handicap range could be less than a full point!
The winner of each gross division will be invited to enjoy Friday’s Championship round, as well as awarded an exemption into a top flight Amateur event.
Why not compete Just For Fun? No handicaps or scores! Just good friends, some golf clubs and your best attitude! The Just For Fun Flight is great for all sorts of players.

Fair Handicapping Net divisions are flighted by handicap, so the competition is a net, stroke play event which offers a level playing field for all. Anyone concerned about the equity of handicap golf, rest assured organizers spend countless hours scrutinizing handicaps.
A LOT of winners Paying out the top 5 in each flight means nearly 400 winners! With a great prize sponsor in the PGA TOUR Superstore, the team are dishing out great gift card prizes to those top finishers in each flight! Didn’t play great? There are daily contest prizes each day. Best of all they give away $30,000 in random drawing prizes - so literally anyone can win.

You can’t choose your courses however - locations are drawn at the start of the week.

If you need to play with your partner for transport reasons this can be arranged but you will not play together, just in the same location.

Myrtle Beach Sheraton

Attached to the Myrtle Beach Convention Centre, this contemporary hotel is 1.2 miles from the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, which makes it the ideal location for this trip given that the 19th Hole is at the Convention Centre!The modern rooms have free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, plus minifridges and desks; some have ocean views. Club rooms (extra cost please enquire) provide access to a lounge with complimentary continental breakfast and afternoon appetizers. Suites (extra cost please enquire) add balconies and separate living areas; some have pull-out sofas, wet bars and kitchenettes.

What is the golfing format of your tours?

All our hosted tours are Better Ball Stableford competitions played off 90% handicap as recommended by WHS/CONGU. This means each golfer plays their own ball, and the better net Stableford score from the two on each hole counts towards the team’s total. Each tour will have a specified number of competition rounds and your score each day will be added up to decide the overall leaderboard.
Do you organise dining and entertainment?

At any hosted tours we have staff present we will set up a tour Whatsapp group or email chain for all that are looking to join the party. This will involve self funded dinner, drinks and other requests based on the group and the vicinity available.
What prizes are on offer?

Prizes will be awarded to a minimum of the top 3 pairs. Our hosted tours have £2000 worth of prizes on offer for players with an official CONGU handicap, these prizes include Mizuno Merchandise, vouchers for a Stewart Golf Trolley and future MGPT events. All participants will receive Mizuno goodies or a voucher to spend in the Mizuno store. We also have a designated Hole in 1 hole where if you achieve the hole in one you’ll receive a full set of clubs custom fit and factory visit courtesy of Mizuno
Can I make changes after i've booked?

All changes must be made through the lead booker. Any changes will be dependent on availability, are subject to Golfbreaks.com and supplier cancelling policies. There will be no admin fee for making changes to your booking. depending on the nature of your amendment there may be changes to your package price. Please contact your designated Golfpairs agent for more information.
Can i pay a deposit? If so when is the remaining balance due?

Can I pay a deposit and if so when is the remaining balance due? Yes, paying for our tours is flexible. You can either pay the full balance when you book or you can secure the booking with a deposit (normally £100 per person.) Once your booking is secure you can then make smaller payments towards the balance or clear it in one go. The balance must be cleared 8 weeks before the event. If it is not you risk losing any money that had already been paid towards your tour.
