Sheringham Autumn 2026

Sheringham Autumn 2026

Over 130 golfers, a breeze that grew stronger as the day went on, majestic coastal views from the 6th, and the unique charm of a heritage steam railway beside the fairways — Sheringham served up a memorable autumn day of Golf Pairs action.

Course Highlights

Sheringham's spectacular coastal setting was once again the star of the show. The 6th hole offers majestic views along the Norfolk coastline — a memorable sight for golfers navigating this beautiful yet challenging course.

The course also boasts a steam railway running alongside the fairways. The train wasn't scheduled to run today, but it remains an iconic part of the Sheringham experience and adds to the character and heritage of this special venue.

Weather Conditions

The day began with relatively mild winds, giving the early starters favourable conditions. As the day went on the breeze steadily picked up, and the later groups faced a much sterner test — club selection, course management, patience and partnership play were essential right to the finish.

Memorable Moments

Best Dressed honours went to Maurice Bolger and Kenneth Troup — a worthy nod for bringing the style to the Norfolk coast.
