Romsey 2026

Over 100 golfers embracing crisp autumn conditions, a fresh new layout to get to grips with, a world champion among the field, and some brilliant scoring across every leaderboard — Romsey served up a truly memorable day of Golf Pairs action.

Course Highlights

Today saw an impressive gathering of more than 100 players take to the course at Romsey Golf Club, with plenty to talk about away from the weather too — the course showcased its new layout today. Players had the opportunity to experience the changes first-hand, bringing a fresh challenge and a new dimension to the round.

Weather Conditions

The weather provided a suitably seasonal backdrop — crisp conditions and an unmistakably autumnal atmospheremaking for a memorable day of golf. Despite the change in the seasons, the players embraced the conditions and enjoyed another excellent day on the course.

Memorable Moments

Among the field was a particularly special competitor — the 2018 Blind World Golf Champion Jason Bastable, who continues to demonstrate extraordinary ability and determination on the golf course. Adding to the occasion, Jason is also recognised as holding the record for the longest time on record — making today's appearance an especially notable one. A genuine privilege to have him with us.

Best Dressed honours went to Cheryl Winter and Trevor Carter — a properly turned-out pair and a worthy nod for bringing the look to match a crisp autumn day.

Tournament Highlights

A fantastic turnout of over 100 golfers made for a brilliant day at Romsey — made all the more memorable by the new layout and a genuine world champion among the field.
