A true test of links golf awaited players at Prince’s Golf Club, where ever-changing conditions and slick greens combined to create a challenging — yet thoroughly enjoyable — day on the Kent coast.

A True Links Challenge

Prince’s once again showed its teeth, with fast, testing greens and firm links conditions demanding precision on every shot. With the course split across its iconic nines, players faced a variety of challenges throughout the round — none more so than the ever-present coastal wind.

Weather & Conditions

The day brought a full mix of weather.

A cold and windy start greeted the early groups, followed by a rainy and blustery middle stretch, before conditions settled again into a bright but breezy finish later in the day.

Classic links golf — and no two rounds quite the same.

Memorable Moments

There were plenty of talking points out on the course — not least the contrast in attire!

Some brave (or optimistic!) golfers stuck to shorts throughout, while others, like Steve on the charity hole, opted for a more cautious approach… turning up in seven layers to battle the elements.

Tournament Highlights

The early starters took full advantage of the calmer morning window, posting strong scores early and setting a tough clubhouse target for the rest of the field to chase as conditions worsened.
