Portal Scramble - 14th August 2024

What a day at Portal Golf Club in Cheshire! With beautiful sunny weather and not a single breeze in the air, the course was in perfect condition for a fantastic day of golf. We had an incredible turnout with 196 players coming together for a class day of competition and charity.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the 14th hole, where the charity challenge for a hole in one  & "Nearest the Pin" took place. After a strong field of competitors, it was Dan Stubbs who emerged victorious.

Over at the 16th hole, we witnessed some impressive power during the "Longest Drive" competition. Jack Townsend blasted the longest drive for the men, while Eadie O’Brian showcased her talent to win for the ladies.

As for the team events, Stephen Croman’s squad secured first place for the lowest gross score, while Dane Evans’ team claimed the title for the overall competition winners.

And let’s not forget a little fun off the fairways, Pat Thew took home the "Best Dressed" award, adding even more spirit to an already fantastic day.

Congratulations to all the winners and a huge thank you to everyone who made the day a huge success. It was a day filled with super scores, great company, and beautiful weather!
