Hunstanton 2026

Hunstanton 2026

More than 130 golfers, a stunning sunrise over the Norfolk coast, sunshine, wind and rain all in one day, and a classic links in superb condition — Hunstanton gave everyone something to talk about.

Course Highlights

Founded in 1891, Hunstanton is widely regarded as one of Norfolk's classic links venues. The course was in excellent condition and a real credit to the greenkeeping team — firm, beautifully presented links terrain that rewarded thoughtful course management, accurate ball-striking and a good understanding of links golf.

Off the course, the clubhouse was every bit as impressive. The verandah overlooking the 18th was a particular highlight — the perfect spot to watch the finishing action and soak up the atmosphere.

Weather Conditions

An early start brought a wonderful sunrise, but the weather had other ideas after that, with sunshine, wind and rain all thrown into the mix. The changing conditions tested every golfer's patience and shot-making, though those playing later in the day definitely seemed to have the upper hand.

Memorable Moments

Best Dressed went to Andrew Ewing and David Peake — and they didn't stop there, finishing 4th on the WHS leaderboard and sharing first place in the 4 Hole Contest. A proper all-round day out.
