Two days at one of English golf's most iconic venues, glorious sunshine, immaculate greens, those legendary bunkers in all their glory — and a near hole in one on the Charity Hole to boot. The 2026 Woodhall Spa 2 Days delivered a truly memorable trip from start to finish.

The Tour

There aren't many venues in English golf with the pedigree of Woodhall Spa, and a two-day trip here is a proper bucket-list experience for any golfer. Immaculate greens, one of the finest practice areas in the country, and a course design that asks proper questions of every player from tee to green. And then, of course, there are those bunkers — massive, deep, and unforgiving. Find one and you've got your work cut out. The kind of hazards that focus the mind on every tee shot.

Two days at a venue of this calibre is a real treat, and the field made the most of every minute.

Weather Conditions

Glorious sunshine across both days, and it got seriously hot out there. Beautiful conditions on the eye, but the heat added a real test of stamina alongside the usual demands of Woodhall Spa's design. Staying patient, staying hydrated, and picking your moments to attack the pin all mattered. Hats off to everyone who powered through.

Memorable Moments

The moment of the trip came on the Charity Hole, where one tee shot finished just inches from a hole in one. Inches from glory, but a brilliant moment all the same — and exactly the kind of close call that gets retold over a drink in the clubhouse afterwards.

Day 1

Day 1 opened up with tight scoring at the top of the leaderboard — two pairs finishing dead level on 44 points, with the WHS title decided on countback.

Winners — Jason Woods & John Hudson — 44 points
Runners-Up — Karen Hartley & Kirsty Hartley — 44 points

A brilliant effort from the Hartley pair, matching the winning score and unlucky to come out on the wrong side of countback.

• Nearest the Pin — 5th, 7th, 11th, 16th

Day 2

Day 2 produced the scoring highlight of the trip. A sensational 49 points topped the leaderboard, with a stunning 48 points in the runners-up spot — genuinely elite scoring on a course that gives nothing away easily.

Winners — Ray Gregory & David Seed — 49 points
Runners-Up — Richard Eklund & Philip Hewit — 48 points
