Westerham 2026

Westerham 2026

A glorious day at Westerham — perfect conditions, immaculate course preparation, a celebrity sighting from the Postman himself, and the day's headline moment: a hole in one from Ted Evans.

Course Highlights

Westerham Golf Club was looking an absolute picture, with the course in excellent condition and a clear amount of work having gone into the maintenance throughout. One of the day's real highlights was the brilliantly placed 19th hole, overlooking the 9th and 18th greens — the perfect vantage point to enjoy some great chipping and putting action while the action unfolded below.

Weather Conditions

A slightly cooler and damp start, but by mid-morning the conditions had warmed up beautifully. The later golfers were in for a real treat — sunshine, mild temperatures, and just a slight breeze. About as good as it gets in the South East, and the kind of day where the course gives you every chance to enjoy it.

Memorable Moments

So many to choose from. The course produced plenty of happy golfers who simply loved being out there, but two moments stood out above the rest.

First — the headline of the day — Ted Evans sealed his very first hole in one on the par-3 10th, also picking up the Nearest the Pin prize on the same hole. An unforgettable moment, the kind every golfer dreams about, and a card he'll be framing for years to come. Huge congratulations Ted!

And just to add a little extra magic to the day, none other than Ian Poulter — the Postman himself — paid a visit. A brilliant surprise for the field, and the kind of moment that makes a Golf Pairs day feel like an occasion.

On the style front, the Best Dressed honours went to Laurie Gordon and Jan Millward — a properly turned-out pair and a worthy nod.

Winners

Huge congratulations to Rob Webb and Stephen Piper, who took the top spot on a brilliant day at Westerham. A fantastic round in lovely conditions and a thoroughly deserved win.

In the runners-up spot were Leroy Mattis and Sean Monaghan — a fantastic effort and a strong finish on a course that rewarded good golf throughout.

On the Course

Plenty of action away from the main leaderboard too:

  • Men's Longest Drive (11th) — Dan Atvars
  • Ladies' Longest Drive (11th) — Jane Dallaway
  • Nearest the Pin (10th) — Ted Evans (HOLE IN ONE!)

A day Ted in particular won't be forgetting in a hurry.

Completely amazing feedback from all the golfers today, from the wonderful reception and hospitality to a course the field are already keen to rebook for 2027. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, to Westerham Golf Club for hosting us so well, and one final congratulations to Ted on a truly remarkable moment. Onto the next one.
