A truly world-class Hertfordshire venue, sunny spells with just enough showers to keep things honest, a near hole-in-one on the 4th, and a chance to walk in the footsteps of Tiger Woods — The Grove served up a properly memorable day of Golf Pairs action.

Course Highlights

The Grove offers up a genuinely stunning Hertfordshire setting — the course sits within around 300 acres of countryside, combining mature parkland, dramatic water features, strategically placed bunkers, and beautifully rolling terrain. It's the kind of venue that impresses from the first tee to the last, and consistently earns its reputation as one of the region's finest.

The Grove also has a genuinely special claim to fame — this is where Tiger Woods won the 2006 WGC Championship, one of the biggest events in the venue's history. Walking the same fairways as the greatest player of all time is a real part of the experience here.

Weather Conditions

Sunny spells with a few showers rolling through — genuinely pleasant conditions overall, with the sunshine dominating and the odd shower just enough to keep everyone on their toes. Comfortable golf weather from tee to green.

Memorable Moments

The moment of the day came on the par-3 4th — a near hole in one that came agonisingly close to sealing itself in style. Inches from glory, but a brilliant strike all the same, and one of the standout talking points of the day.

Winners

Huge congratulations to Naveed Islam and Peter Betts, who took the top spot on the day. A brilliant round on a world-class venue and a thoroughly deserved win.

In the runners-up spot were Luke Chara and Jacob Campbell-Blunt — a fantastic effort and a strong finish on a course of The Grove's calibre.
