Surrey National 2026

A Surrey countryside classic, perfect summer weather, a field of 156 golfers, and an England win to top it off — Surrey National provided the perfect setting for another brilliant Golf Pairs day.

Course Highlights

Nestled in the rolling Surrey countryside near Chaldon, Surrey National Golf Club has established itself as one of the region's premier golfing destinations since opening in 1999. Designed by renowned architect David Williams, the championship par-72 course stretches across more than 200 acres of picturesque landscape, making full use of two dramatic valleys, elevated tees, strategically positioned bunkers, tree-lined fairways, and challenging water hazards. The layout rewards thoughtful course management as much as powerful ball striking, while the stunning views across the North Downs provide an unforgettable backdrop throughout the round.

From the moment players arrived, there was a fantastic atmosphere around the clubhouse, with everyone eager to enjoy a day of competitive golf, great company, and excellent hospitality.

Weather Conditions

Perfect conditions from first tee to last. Beautiful sunshine, mild temperatures, and a course playing at its best — about as good as it gets, and all 156 golfers in the field made the most of it. The kind of day where the course really shines and everything feels a little easier on the eye.

Memorable Moments

The Best Dressed honours went to Dee Shah and Ian Harnett — a properly turned-out pair and a worthy nod for bringing the look to match the occasion.

Lowest Gross of the day went to John Balague — a fantastic round on a course of this calibre and a real standout performance.

Tournament Highlights

With a bumper field of 156 golfers, the day was played across four divisions — giving players across every handicap level a real shot at the top of their leaderboard. Plenty of brilliant golf on show across the board.
