Sonning 2026

Precision & Perfection at Sonning Golf Club

Set in the beautiful Berkshire countryside, Sonning Golf Club once again delivered a fantastic day of golf, combining classic design with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

A Signature Challenge

One of the standout features of Sonning is its renowned 17th hole, a par 3 that has earned praise from some of golf’s most respected voices.

Famously described by Peter Alliss as “one of the best short holes in the South of England,” this 174-yard test demands absolute precision. With a well-guarded green and no margin for error, it proved to be a defining moment in many players’ rounds.

Weather & Conditions

The day began with a light shower, but conditions quickly improved, giving way to a bright and enjoyable afternoon, perfect for scoring and making the most of this excellent course.

Tournament Highlights

With conditions settling nicely, scoring was competitive at the top, with the leading teams finishing level and separated only by countback.
