Seaford Scramble 2026

Sunshine, blue skies, temperatures in the high 20s, and a Scramble format that brought out the best in every team — Seaford Blatchington served up a truly memorable summer day of golf.

Course Highlights

Seaford Blatchington Golf Club looked absolutely stunning today. The fairways were running beautifully, the greens were in excellent condition, and the breathtaking views across the South Downs and towards the Sussex coastline made every hole a pleasure to play. Seaford Blatchington once again showed why it is regarded as one of the finest downland courses in the country — a real treat for the field.

Weather Conditions

Glorious sunshine, blue skies, and temperatures climbing into the high 20s — one of those memorable summer days that remind us exactly why golf is such a fantastic game. The heat added an extra challenge, of course, with staying hydrated, finding a bit of shade between holes, and keeping energy levels up becoming just as important as finding the fairway. Thankfully, the fantastic clubhouse provided a welcome place to cool down after the round.

Memorable Moments

The Scramble format brought out the best in everyone today — plenty of teamwork, tactical shot-making, and good-natured banter throughout the day. From incredible approach shots to clutch putts and the occasional lucky bounce, there were smiles all round as teams worked together to post their best possible scores.

Best Dressed honours went to Spencer Prosser and Andy Gray — a properly turned-out pair and a worthy nod for matching the look to the occasion.

A special mention also to the all-Logan team — Tom, Sam, Ben, and Joe Logan — who put together a brilliant 4th-place finish. A proper family effort, and one of the standout stories of the day.

Tournament Highlights

A brilliant winning score of 57 points topped the leaderboard, with a real logjam just behind — two teams tied on 56 points in the WHS standings, and another 56-point round taking Best Gross. Genuinely close scoring at the top of a very competitive field.

Winners

Huge congratulations to William Humphreys, Luke Kyriakides, Leo Marks, and Rhys Owens, who took the top spot with a superb 57 points. A brilliant team effort in tough scoring conditions and a thoroughly deserved win.
