Romsey Golf Club Scramble – October 2025
A glorious autumnal October morning greeted players on arrival at Romsey Golf Club, along with a wonderfully warm welcome from all the staff. The array of trees surrounding the course were beginning to show their full autumnal splendour, painting the landscape in golds, reds and ambers. Bathed in sunshine throughout the day, the course looked simply stunning – the perfect backdrop for our latest MGPT Scramble event.
About Romsey Golf Club
Nestled on the edge of Southampton, Romsey Golf Club is a true hidden gem in Hampshire. Established in 1900, the club proudly celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2025, marking the occasion by reverting to its original historic layout. Described by one golf journalist as “a real woodland gem”, the course winds gracefully through undulating parkland, featuring tree-lined fairways, raised greens and strategically placed deep bunkers.
At 5,718 yards (par 69 for men), it may not be the longest course, but its tight fairways and clever design demand accuracy and thoughtful shot-making — offering a challenging yet enjoyable round for golfers of all abilities.

There were nearest the pin on all four par 3’s what were the results of these as I was close on the 6th?
