Rockliffe Hall lived up to every bit of its reputation, with a stunning course, world-class facilities, and a near-miss on the Charity Hole that nearly stole the show.

Course Highlights

Rockliffe Hall is one of those venues that makes an impression before you've even teed off. The clubhouse facilities are genuinely outstanding, the practice area gives you everything you need to warm up properly, and the course design itself is a real treat — beautifully maintained, thoughtfully laid out, and rewarding good golf at every turn. It's the kind of venue that feels like a real occasion to play, and the field made the most of it.

Weather Conditions

A welcome break from the recent run of mixed weather — Rockliffe served up sunshine and a stiff breeze. Pleasant scoring conditions on the whole, but enough wind to keep players honest with their club selection and stop the round becoming too straightforward. The kind of day where you couldn't blame the weather if it didn't quite go to plan.

Memorable Moments

The shot of the day came on the Charity Hole — a near hole in one that had spectators holding their breath and the player wondering what might have been. Inches from glory, but a brilliant moment all the same, and exactly the kind of close call that gets retold over a drink in the clubhouse afterwards.

Tournament Highlights

It's hard to overstate just how good the conditions were at Rockliffe. The course was in fantastic shape, the facilities were second to none, and the whole experience felt like a real treat for everyone involved. A venue that absolutely justifies its place on the calendar.

Winners

A massive congratulations to Martin Hillerby and David Lister, who took the top spot with a superb 46 points. A brilliant round on a course that asked plenty of questions, and a thoroughly deserved win.

Just a point behind in the runners-up spot were James Osmond and Alex Osmond with 45 points — a fantastic effort and a real family double act on the leaderboard.
